Phuket is at the bottom of Thailand and it looks like an island but it is joined to the main land. The cruise terminal or deep water dock is one side, the fun beach is the other side and there are numerous options.

When the weather is good, you may tender direct to the beac. The cruise port is 20 miles from town and it is a taxi only port.

Phuket Cruise Port

Most will support the need for unions, that is until they are on a cruise holiday and the taxi unions do not allow shuttle buses

Possibly the most likely cruise port to stop at when passing Thailand, especially on a world cruise.
